On Wednesday, 3 December 2025, the Most Reverend Francesco Antonio Soddu, Bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia, received in audience at the Episcopal Residence in Terni, Italy a delegation from the Umbria Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George. Present were the interim Delegate, H.E. Ambassador Alfredo Bastianelli, Gentleman of His Holiness, Constantinian Knight Grand Cross of Jure Sanguinis with Gold Star, Lieutenant for Central Italy of the Royal Commission for Italy; the interim Vice Delegate, Dr. Alessio Lamoratta, Knight of Jure Sanguinis; and the Chaplain for the Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia of the Delegation, Prof. Father Giuseppe Capsoni, Chaplain of Merit.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Umbria Delegation delivered the insignia and decree of the Grand Master, HRH Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, Count of Caserta, Head of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies, conferring on Bishop Soddu the Chaplain Grand Cross of Merit of the Constantinian Order, in recognition of his pastoral service and of his collaborative relationship with the Delegation. The cordial and respectful meeting further strengthened the ties between the Constantinian Order and the Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia, in the continuity of the shared path to be taken under the Bishop’s guidance.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a solemn celebration of Mass was agreed upon, to be presided over by Bishop Soddu on Saturday, 7 March 2026, in the Cathedral of Amelia, as an occasion to renew publicly the bond of communion and service between the Constantinian Order and the local Church.
