Constantinian volunteers have joined together  in campaigns organized by institutions and foundations such as Altius, Parroquia el Buen Pastor, Congregación Cofradía Ntra. Sra. de las Angustias, and Residencia Madernia, among others. On various days during the Christmas season, the volunteers have been divided into small groups and have collaborated with the volunteers from the residences and associations to divide up tasks, such as providing carts of basic food needs and transferring the collected food to the distribution centers.

“This activity demonstrates the commitment of the Constantinian volunteers to people who are vulnerable, providing them with company and support on important days like these,” stressed Álvaro Zuleta de Reales y Ansaldo, president of the Commission for Spain of the Constantinian Order. These actions emphasize the link that volunteers have with soup kitchens and residences, carrying out fundamental work for those who need it most.  They also show how the gentlemen and ladies who volunteer their time in these efforts are able to give visibility to those vulnerable people who, although living close to us, often remain unseen.

In addition to organizing aid projects, the volunteers have collaborated by providing food and sweets and sharing anecdotes and experiences in a relaxed atmosphere with those receiving assistance. With this activity, the Constantinian Order strengthens its bonds with the elderly and those who are in need, highlighting the importance of spending time with them, and even more so at a time of year like Christmas.

Constantinian Volunteer Efforts

Our volunteer activities are constituted as an initiative for friends, family and all those who want to participate.

In recent years, thanks to the joint work we have undertaken in hundreds of activities with various social organizations, more than a hundred volunteers have helped more than 300,000 vulnerable people.  Our activities have been in the areas of education, digitalization, the environment, and spending time with people who are in social exclusion, among others.

The promotion of volunteer work is one of the most important activities of the Constantinian Order. This is our way to contribute, through specific humanitarian and social projects, to responding to the challenges that society confronts us with.  The Constantinian Order aspires to influence today’s world through charity, in areas such as assistance to people threatened by poverty, social exclusion, war, or religious persecution, as well as in the promotion of culture as material and intangible heritage.
