Following the request for help from the Representative of the San Gerardo Onlus Association for the canteen of the diocesan Caritas “Santa Maria ad Nives” in the Schiavonea hamlet of Corigliano Calabro, Italy, which reached the Calabrian Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order, the interim Delegate communicated with his liaison for the Upper Ionian Cosentino Section. He then, together with the postulants and volunteers of the area, have generously accepted the invitation, in a concrete way, purchasing and delivering a batch of basic necessities in recent days, composed of pasta, milk, rice, chickpeas, peas, beans and lentils, packs of tuna, and biscuits, which will help to assist the most food-deprived and most marginalized in the area.
The Representative of the San Gerardo Onlus Association, Father Davide Perdonò, C.Ss.R., Rector of the Sanctuary of Materdomini and of San Gerardo Maiella in Materdomini a Caposele, in the Archdiocese of Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi-Conza-Nusco-Bisaccia, expressed words of gratitude for the donation, which was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Representative for the Upper Ionian Cosentino Section, Antonio Coiro, Knight of Office, and of postulants Franca Spataro, Sabrina Spataro, Gianluca Petrosino, Giovanni Battista Rindelli , Enzo Rinaldi, Stefano Rizzo, Giorgio Lombisani, Vincenzo Formaro and Salvatore Minervini.
The interim Delegate for Calabria, H.E. the Marquis Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, Knight Grand Cross of Justice, Lieutenant for Southern Peninsular Italy of the Constantinian Order’s Royal Commission for Italy, expressed his appreciation for the speed of the response in favour of the less fortunate, confirming at the same time that the Delegation of Calabria will carefully continue to carry out further initiatives for charitable purposes throughout the entire region.
