On this 10th Anniversary of his succession as Grand Master of the Constantinian Order, we express our recognition of HRH Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria and Count of Caserta, Head of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies, our Grand Master, whose guidance has continued to strengthen the historic bond that unites the Bourbon Dynasty with the guardianship of Order’s traditions, its spiritual legacy, and its eternal values.
Today we wish to pay tribute to His Royal Highness the Duke of Calabria, not only for his work but for the profound inspiration he gives us each day.
His generous dedication, example, and unwavering commitment embody and remind us of the purpose for which the Constantinian Order was established. Thanks to his leadership, we continue to walk faithfully with those values that illuminate our mission and give meaning to our service. His Royal Highness, with prudent dedication and ever-close presence, extends his hand, for his work is a living presence wherever charity, justice, and solidarity are most needed. Likewise, he promotes cultural life and zealously protects our historical heritage so that present and future generations may honour and preserve it.
Thanks to his guidance, we walk united in purpose and hope, strengthened by faith and guided by virtue, persevering along the noble path of service, charity, and defense of all that is most sacred. Honour and gratitude to our Grand Master, whose example enlightens us and whose mission ennobles our works.
[On October 5, 2015, His Royal Highness Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies succeeded as Head of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, Count of Caserta, and Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, etc., following the death of his father, His Royal Highness Don Carlos of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, Count of Caserta, Head of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies, Infante of Spain, Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George, etc.]
Through a statement that united history and tradition, the Grand Master took up the mantle of his beloved father as his eldest son and immediate successor in all his rights, in accordance with the Constitution and Statutes of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. In that document, he stated that “he thus assumed the succession as the first born heir of the House of Farnese, bequeathed in perpetuity by our august ancestor His Majesty King Charles VII of Naples and V of Sicily, later King Charles III of Spain, a legacy confirmed by the monitorium dated December 19, 1763, of His Holiness Pope Clement XIII to the descendants of His Majesty’s son, the Infante Ferdinand, our august ancestor, later King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies, by whose grant there exists in our person the succession and investiture ipso facto et de iure of the title, office, and honours of Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. And we also assume in our person the Grand Mastership of the Orders of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies, among which the Royal and Illustrious Order of Saint Januarius holds a preeminent position.”
The Constantinian Order today is one of the oldest active international equestrian-religious orders in the world. It was founded in the 11th century in the Eastern Roman Empire and has been recognized as a religious order of the Catholic Church since the 16th century. It includes Knights, Dames, and Ecclesiastics organized in Commissions in countries across Europe and the Americas.

The Constantinian Order has carried out humanitarian and social projects both in Spain and in other countries such as Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Peru, Luxembourg, Austria and Liechtenstein, Brazil, the United States of America, San Marino, the Antilles, and others.
Projects developed in Mali, Lebanon, and Mozambique support agricultural programs that help improve local farming operations. These include action plans, training, support, mentoring, and agricultural organization for the Mozambican population engaged in such work. Medical supplies, livestock feed containers, thousands of pairs of shoes, farming tools, and first-aid materials were also delivered by the Grand Master as Constantinian aid to the Lebanese people, who face a dramatic situation marked by constant border tensions, armed groups, rampant inflation, armed forces unable to pay their soldiers, and a multitude of calamities within a chronic power vacuum and the impossibility of carrying out reforms that would fulfill national and international requirements.
In that field, the Order and its Grand Master unfurl the sails of their commitment and cooperate with a spirit of solidarity filled with love and service to others.
His Royal Highness the Duke of Calabria, in the presence of contingents of soldiers deployed in various countries of the world, communities, religious orders, and persons dedicated to the cause, has always expressed words of gratitude, admiration, and satisfaction for the professionalism and diligence with which the mission of ensuring that aid reaches “where it must reach” is fulfilled. His words and example are, have been, and will continue to be in the hearts of Constantinians, for his generosity and dedication are the banner borne by this millenary institution.
