HRH Princess Doña Ana of the Two Sicilies, Dowager Duchess of Calabria (born Princess Anne of France) was admitted to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem with the rank of Dame Grand Cross, in a solemn ceremony that took place in Madrid at the Basilica of Saint Francis the Great. She is the mother of the Grand Master of the Constantinian Order, HRH Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, and is the widow of HRH Prince Carlos of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Infante of Spain, Duke of Calabria, who was Grand Master of the Constantinian Order from 1964 to 2015.
The ceremony was presided over by the Grand Master of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, His Eminence Edwin Frederick Cardinal O’Brien, with His Eminence D. Carlos Cardinal Amigo, Archbishop Emeritus of Seville, Grand Prior of the Lieutenancy of Western Spain of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, concelebrating. After the celebration of the Eucharist, new Knights, Chaplains, and Dames of the Order were dubbed.
The solemn act was attended by HRH Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, who accompanied his august mother. HRH the Duke of Calabria is himself a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
Their Royal Highnesses were received at the door of the basilica by His Excellency D. José Carlos Sanjuan y Monforte, Lieutenant of Western Spain (Noble Chapter of the Crown of Castilla) of that Order.
Representing the Royal Commission for Spain of the Constantinian Order of Saint George at the ceremony was D. Carlos Bárcena y Portolés, Knight Grand Cross of Justice of the Constantinian Order, and Counselor of the Royal Deputation and of the Governing Council of the Order.
