In May 2025, HRH Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, presided over the ceremony at which a set of panels, highly representative of late medieval Sevillian art, was donated to the Museum of Fine Arts in Seville.
The Royal Council of the Military Orders of Santiago, Calatrava, Alcántara and Montesa has donated to the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville in Andalusia, Spain a set of four panels, attributed to an anonymous artist close to the painter Juan Sánchez de Castro, the most important Sevillian master of the last third of the 15th century. The delivery ceremony took place on Monday, May 26, 2025, in the presence of the President of the Royal Council of the Military Orders, H.R.H. Prince Pedro of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria, Count of Caserta, Head of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies, and Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George.
Dedicated to several saints presented in pairs, these panels, painted in tempera and oil and dating from around 1480 to 1500, were already exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Seville, where they had been on loan to the art gallery since 1908. Macarena O’Neill, Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports, expressed her gratitude for the donation to the Royal Council of Military Orders.
The event was attended, among others, by José Ángel Vélez, Secretary General of Cultural Innovation and Museums; Aurora Villalobos, Director General of Museums and Cultural Complexes; Angie Moreno, Delegate for Tourism and Culture of the City Council of Seville; Ricardo Sánchez, Delegate of the Regional Government of Seville; Valme Muñoz, Director of the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville; and several members of the Council of Military Orders.
