A representation of the Lombardy Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, led by the Delegate, Dr. Eng. Gilberto Spinardi, Knight Grand Cross of Merit, participated at 6:45 p.m. on 9 April 2026, Thursday within the Octave of Easter, in the celebration of the monthly Mass at the Chapel of Saint Martin in the Basilica of San Vittore al Corpo in Milan, presided over by Father Paolo Maria Giuseppe Lobiati, Chaplain of Merit.
The basilica is one of the oldest places of worship in Milan, whose origins date back to the 4th century. Dedicated to the martyr Victor, a soldier of the imperial guard of Maximian, the basilica has passed through centuries of transformation, undergoing an important renewal in the 16th century thanks to the work of the Olivetans, who made it a significant spiritual and artistic center of the city.
During the homily, Father Lobiati offered a profound reflection on the meaning of the Christian vocation, recalling passages from the Acts of the Apostles and the Gospel of Luke concerning the appearance of the Risen Lord. He emphasized how faith is not merely an outward sign, but a concrete and daily commitment, lived within the ecclesial community and in the ordinary reality of life.
Particular attention was given to the concreteness of the Resurrection: Christ who shows His wounds and eats with the disciples becomes the model of an incarnate faith, capable of transforming work, family life, and daily difficulties into a path of holiness. Father Lobiati invited those present to examine the coherence of their Christian life, identifying concrete actions of charity, service, and spiritual growth through prayer, the sacraments, and community life.
At the conclusion of the Eucharistic Celebration, the Promoter of Cultural Activities, Prof. Edoardo Brioschi, Knight Grand Cross of Merit, led the Prayer of the Constantinian Knight.
The meeting during the Easter season represented a further moment of communion and spiritual formation for the members of the Delegation, renewing their commitment to live their Christian and chivalric vocation in daily life.
