On Sunday, 19 July 2026, a delegation team from the Delegation of Naples and Campania of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George provided the usual monthly service at the “Locanda San Vincenzo de’ Paoli” Fraternal Soup Kitchen, an initiative of Caritas of the Diocese of Nola.

Volunteer work begins at 8:00 am with the preparation of the meals. At 12:00 the distribution of takeaway meals begins, prepared in special bags containing family containers previously sterilized by the volunteers, so they can be reused in full safety and in strict compliance with health and hygiene regulations. From 12:30 to 13:30, service is carried out at the tables, during which hot meals are served using disposable containers, utensils, and trays. After the meal distribution, the volunteers carry out complete cleaning of the premises, tables, and restrooms, concluding a day lived in the spirit of service and fraternity.

The initiative, which involves the Constantinian confrères together with volunteers from nearby city parishes and surrounding municipalities—six engaged in meal preparation and two or three in preparing the portions for takeaway—constitutes a significant testimony of Christian charity and is part of the activities the Delegation consistently promotes in support of the most vulnerable people in the area. Through this ongoing service as well, the Delegation renews its commitment to live its Constantinian charitable vocation, transforming the principles of faith into concrete works of mercy, and standing—discreetly and with a spirit of service—alongside those most in need.

This time, the service was carried out by Ing. Nicola Annunziata and Prof. Valerio Stefano Sacco, Knights of Office, who carried out the work with generous availability and a genuine spirit of charity, offering a concrete example of the values of the Constantinian Order, which inspire every day the commitment of Knights, Ladies, Postulants, and friends in the various charitable, medical, and social activities promoted by the Order. Sincere greetings and their contribution were also brought by Dr. Giuseppe Russo, Knight of Merit, who has long been steadily committed to supporting and serving the Fraternal Soup Kitchen, including during the week.

The “Locanda San Vincenzo de’ Paoli” Fraternal Soup Kitchen, located behind the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Nola, is coordinated by Don Enrico Tuccillo, with the valuable support of the Administrator Dr. Francesco Esposito, Dr. Domenico Alfano, and the Service Coordinator Dr. Michele D’Urso. Thanks to their dedication and the daily work of the many volunteers, the facility guarantees more than one hundred meals each day to people in difficulty, operating from 8:00 to 13:00.

This shared commitment at the Fraternal Soup Kitchen also helps strengthen the bond between the Sacred Military Constantinian Order—present in the city of Nola for about twenty years—and the parishes of the diocese, giving rise to a fruitful and stable collaboration. The relationships among the Fraternal Soup Kitchen, the diocesan Caritas, and the parish communities are managed by Dr. Giuseppe Russo, Knight of Merit, and Prof. Valerio Stefano Sacco, Knight of Office, fostering a network of collaboration that goes beyond meal distribution, translating into concrete support for the most vulnerable individuals and families in the area.

The work of the “Locanda San Vincenzo de’ Paoli” Fraternal Soup Kitchen is not limited to the daily distribution of meals. Indeed, on weekdays the facility also offers shower services, along with the distribution of clean underwear and clothing, ensuring assistance that meets people’s essential needs. Through these initiatives, the Soup Kitchen plays a crucial role in promoting solidarity, strengthening the sense of community, and concretely witnessing Christian charity—offering tangible help to those living in situations of hardship and social marginalization.
