WE, PEDRO OF BOURBON-TWO SICILIES,

BY THE GRACE OF GOD 

AND THE LAWS OF INHERITANCE,

DUKE OF CALABRIA, COUNT OF CASERTA, HEAD OF THE ROYAL HOUSE OF THE TWO SICILIES, 12th GRAND MASTER OF THE SACRED MILITARY CONSTANTINIAN ORDER OF SAINT GEORGE, GRAND MASTER OF THE ROYAL AND ILLUSTRIOUS ORDER OF SAINT JANUARIUS AND OF THE OTHER ORDERS OF WHICH BY HISTORY AND TRADITION WE HOLD THE GRAND MASTERSHIP,

To all who shall see these presents please know,

That following the passing of Our beloved Father, His Royal Highness the Most Serene Lord Don Carlos of Bourbon-Two Sicilies and Bourbon-Parma, Duke of Calabria, Count of Caserta, Infante of Spain, Head of the Royal House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, 11th Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, Grand Master of the Royal and Illustrious Order of Saint Januarius, and of those other Orders of which by history and tradition We hold the Grand Mastership; Knight Dean of the Order of the Golden Fleece, etc., which occurred on the 5th of October 2015, the dignity of Head of the said Royal House falls unto Us, in accordance with the laws of succession of Our Royal House and of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, in Our position as first-born son of that Prince and immediate successor to all his rights.

That, after having observed the month of mourning prescribed by the norms and customs of Our Royal House, We make public and solemn notification of Our having succeeded to and invested in Our person the qualities, titles, and offices to which We are entitled, as Head of the Royal House and Family of the Two Sicilies and as the first-born Farnese heir, in the same way that these were passed to Our beloved predecessor, HRH the Prince Don Alfonso, Count of Caserta, according to the solemn declarations made public in Munich on the 15th of January, 1895, and in the same way that these were handed down to the persons of Our beloved uncle HRH the Prince Don Fernando-Pio, Duke of Calabria, Our beloved grandfather HRH the Prince Don Alfonso, Duke of Calabria, and Our beloved father HRH the Prince Don Carlos, previous Duke of Calabria and Infante of Spain. 

That, following the example of Our august and immediate ancestors, and accepting, as they have done, the settlement of said succession upon Our person, We have assumed, and do now and will in the future use, the title of Duke of Calabria, first and principal title of Our Royal House, borne not only by Our immediate predecessors, but also by the Sovereigns of the ancient Kingdom and afterwards, by the first-born sons of the Sovereigns of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

That, the Headship of Our Royal House having descended to Us, We have ceased to use the title of Duke of Noto and have conceded it from today, ipso facto et de jure, to Our beloved first-born son, HRH the Prince Don Jaime, reverting to Ourself the title of Duke of Capua which he has borne since the 10th of May 2013.

That, with the purpose of honouring the memory of Our greatly mourned father and beloved grandfather and great-grandfather, as Heads of the Royal House of the Two Sicilies, We do now and will always maintain for Ourself the title of Count of Caserta, as a Family Title, just as those who previously used it did so in the past. 

This therefore We pronounce, order and endorse, for your knowledge and execution.
