In accordance with a tradition that renews the historical bond with the Patroness of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, representatives from the Caltanissetta Section of the Delegation of Western Sicily of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, led by the Section Representative, Dr. Giuseppe Anzalone, Knight of Merit with Silver Star, took part on Monday, 8 December 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in the parish church of Saint Albert the Great in San Cataldo, in the solemn Eucharistic Celebration on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, presided over by the parish priest, Fr. Antonio La Paglia.
The Constantinian delegation took its place in cornu Evangelii, helping to underscore the central role of this solemnity in Catholic spirituality and in the culture of Southern Italy. In his homily, Fr. La Paglia recalled how the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary represents a call to purity, hope, and trust in the protection of the Mother of God and our Mother—values that the Constantinian Order has historically safeguarded and promoted. The Immaculate Virgin, in fact, was the Patroness of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, to which the Constantinian Order is deeply bound by history and tradition.
At the conclusion of Holy Mass, the parish priest expressed his gratitude to the members of the Constantinian Order for their presence and for their constant commitment to religious and charitable activities within the diocese.
The Delegate for Western Sicily, Prof. Salvatore Bordonali, Knight Grand Cross of Justice, stated:
“The Constantinian Order has always maintained a particular devotion to the Immaculate Virgin, recognizing her as a model of faith and a symbol of unity among the people, institutions, and religious life. Participation in the celebration in San Cataldo therefore represents a moment of continuity with a spiritual heritage that has its roots deep in the history of Southern Italy.”
