On Saturday 11 May 2024, Knights, Ladies and Postulants of the Section of Lamezia Terme and Cosenza of the Delegation of Calabria of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George made a donation of food to the canteen of the diocesan Caritas of Lamezia Terme, to contribute to the requirements of preparing daily meals for the needy. After the canteen service, in the parish hall of the San Benedetto Interparish Complex, a meeting of the Council of the Delegation of Calabria took place, to review what has been done so far and to plan future Constantinian activities in the spiritual, cultural, humanitarian and charitable fields.
The idea of volunteering at the canteen and donating food began with the initiative of the liaison for the Lamezia Terme and Cosenza Section, Raffaele Mazza, Knight of Office, with the agreement of the interim Delegate for Calabria, H.E. the Marquis Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, Knight Grand Cross of Justice, Lieutenant for Southern Peninsular Italy of the Order’s Royal Commission for Italy. The interim Delegate attended the activity, coming directly from Naples, despite his many institutional commitments.
The donation of food to the canteen of the diocesan Caritas of Lamezia Terme was possible thanks to the commitment of the Knights of Merit Dr. Domenico D’Auria, Dr. Roberto M. Naso Naccari Carlizzi and Dr. Saverio Campo; and of the Knights of Office Raffaele Mazza, Maurizio Capano, Attorney Massimo Seminara and Dr. Giuseppe Santopuoli.
Subsequently, the interim Delegate H.E. the Marquis Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, as well as the Knights Raffaele Mazza, Dr. Domenico D’Auria, Dr. Roberto M. Naso Nàccari Carlizzi, and some volunteers, carried out their volunteer service at the same canteen.
The director of the diocesan Caritas of Lamezia Terme, Father Fabio Stanizzo, thanked the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, and stated that, through the Section of Lamezia Terme and Cosenza of the Delegation of Calabria, it is demonstrating a real closeness to the least fortunate.
Once the service at the canteen was over, the meeting of the Council of the Delegation took place. It was chaired by the interim Delegate for Calabria, H.E. the Marquis Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, Knight Grand Cross of Justice, Lieutenant for Southern Peninsular Italy of the Royal Commission for Italy and was attended by the Secretary General, Dr. Domenico D’Auria, Knight of Merit; the Communications Director and Cultural Activities Officer, Dr. Roberto M. Naso Nàccari Carlizzi, Knight of Merit; the External Relations Officer, Dr. Marika Biamonte, Dame of Office; the Liaison for the Cities of Reggio Calabria and Vibo Valentia, Dr. Emanuele Scarlata, Knight of Merit with Silver Star; and the Liaison for the Cities of Lamezia Terme and Cosenza, Raffaele Mazza, Knight of Office.
