On April 23, 2024, a large representation of the Delegation of Catalonia of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George attended Solemn Vespers and Conventual Mass in the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Barcelona on the occasion of the Feast of Saint George, patron of the Constantinian Order and the Principality of Catalonia. Knights of the Delegation participated in the Liturgy of the Word.

After the Eucharist, the Chapter of the Cathedral, the knights of the Order and other faithful visited the Constantinian Chapel of the Visitation of Our Lady, where the relic of Saint George, given by the Order’s Delegation of Catalonia to the cathedral in 2002, was presented for veneration. In accordance with Church tradition, a Plenary Indulgence was proclaimed to all those faithful who in the liturgical commemoration of Saint George the Martyr, on April 23, piously pray in the Chapel of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Cathedral in honor of Saint George.  A Partial Indulgence was offered to those who in one way or another, and at least with a contrite heart, visit – to venerate – the sacred relic of our patron saint , according to the prescription of the Sacred Apostolic Penitentiary issued by the Roman Pontiffs, Saint John Paul II and Benedict XVI.

After the ceremony and in the Constantinian Chapel, the Carolingian Acclamations were sung, the third stanza of which is dedicated to HRH Prince Pedro, Duke of Calabria, our august Grand Master.
