On Tuesday 10 June 2025, in the splendid setting of the diocesan sanctuary of San Salvatore da Horta in Orta di Atella in the province of Caserta, solemn celebrations took place in honour of the saint, a man of prayer who since his youth sought God in Faith, a professed layman of the Order of Friars Minor Observant, venerated as a miracle worker, a witness of faith and love of the Lord. The solemn Eucharistic Celebration, with which his figure was remembered as an example of active charity and profound prayer, was attended by a representation of the Delegation of Naples and Campania of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, led by the Delegate, Count Gianluigi Gaetani dell’Aquila d’Aragona dei Duchi di Laurenzana (of the Dukes of Laurenzana), Knight of Justice, who responded promptly and gratefully to the invitation of the Rector of the sanctuary, Fra Olivier Machosi Mbusa, OFM. The Constantinian presence at the meeting where faith was made visible, concrete and public, was not a formality, but a sign of a deep commitment to Faith and memory.

The Delegation of Naples and Campania was welcomed by the Rector of the Sanctuary, Fra Olivier Machosi Mbusa, OFM, by the Mayor of Orta di Atella, Dr. Antonino Santillo, and by the city and military authorities present, as well as by the President of the Celebrations Committee, Prof. Angelo Cervone, Minister of the Secular Franciscan Order of Orta di Atella, and by the community, which also this year responded with extraordinary participation and involvement in the celebrations, promoted by the Saint Salvador Celebrations Committee in synergy with the Orta Franciscan Association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Orta di Atella. The event saw moments of great spiritual, cultural and popular intensity, reaffirming the strong bond that unites the Orta community to its saint, a figure of profound devotion for the people of Orta di Atella.

At the beginning of the Mass, the Rector, on behalf of the community, Fra Carlo Maria D’Amodio, OFM, and the other Franciscans who attended, thanked for their presence the representatives of the Delegation of Naples and Campania of the Constantinian Order, the civil and military authorities, the organizers and those who worked hard to organize the celebrations, including Arch. Carlo Iavazzo and LgT Maurizio Barbato, Constantinian Knights of Merit, who took care of the connection between the Franciscan community, the organization of the celebrations and the Delegation of Naples and Campania.

With the Delegate, Count Gianluigi Gaetani dell’Aquila d’Aragona dei Duchi di Laurenzana, Knight of Justice, among others, some interim Councilors of the Delegation participated: the interim Secretary General, Nob. Antonio Masselli, Knight of Jure Sanguinis; the interim Director of Communications, Prof. Antonio De Stefano, Knight of Merit with Silver Star; the interim Director of Operational Activities, Avv. Valeria Pessetti, Dame of Merit with Silver Star, and the interim Director of the Campania Sections, Arch. Francesco Baratta, Knight of Merit.
