On Tuesday 29 April 2025 at 7:00 p.m., a group from the Delegation of Naples and Campania of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George gathered in Naples at the Church of San Pasquale a Chiaia to participate in a Mass for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis. His Holiness passed away at the age of 88 on the morning of 21 April 2025, Easter Monday, the second day of the Octave of Easter. The church and convent of San Pasquale a Chiaia, of the Neapolitan Province of SS. Heart of Jesus of the Order of Friars Minor, were erected in 1749 by will of the sovereigns of the Kingdom of Naples, Charles of Bourbon and his spouse Amalia of Saxony, in gratitude to Saint Pascal (to whom they were very devoted) for the birth of a male heir. The project was drawn up by the architect Antonio Borbone (an Indian who had King Charles as his godfather, inheriting his surname).
The solemn Requiem Mass for Pope Francis, celebrated in Latin and Italian, was celebrated by the Chief Chaplain of the Delegation of Naples and Campania, Fra’ Sergio Galdi d’Aragona, OFM, Chaplain of Justice, General Commissioner of the Holy Land in Naples (Campania, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria and Puglia). It was concelebrated by Father Luigi Pecoraro, Constantinian Chaplain of Merit, Rector of the Basilica of San Giacomo degli Spagnoli in Naples, and Father Lucio D’Abbraccio, Constantinian Chaplain of Merit, with the assistance of Fra’ Antonio Siciliano da Mondragone, OFM and Dr. Domenico Giuseppe Costabile, Knight of Merit, director of ceremonies.
Before the final Blessing, the Delegate for Naples and Campania, Count Gianluigi Gaetani dell’Aquila d’Aragona of the Dukes of Laurenzana, Patrician of Naples, Knight of Justice, read the Prayer of the Constantinian Knight.

H.E. the Marquis Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, Knight Grand Cross of Justice, Lieutenant for Peninsular Southern Italy of the Constantinian Order’s Royal Commission for Italy, participated.
