One of the main missions of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George is to provide assistance and support to people in vulnerable situations. The prayer of the Constantinian knight begs that one “may have the grace to exercise charity towards one’s neighbor and especially towards the poor and the persecuted.” Precisely with this spirit of service towards the least and most needy among us, groups of Knights and Dames of the Delegation of Rome and Vatican City regularly serve at the soup kitchen of the Marian Academy of Rome.
A representation of the Delegation of Rome and Vatican City of the Constantinian Order, coordinated by Dr. Emanuele Placco, Knight of Office, together with Eng. Alfonso Cirillo and Eng. Olimpia Cuozzo once again volunteered on Saturday 13 April 2024 at the soup kitchen managed by the Mariana Academy, providing hot meals to more than 100 needy people who came from 11.00 to 13.00.
The organization into groups of Knights and Dames who actively participate in the canteen service activity in rotation – coordinated by the liaison for charitable activities Prof. Eng. Luca Mazzola, Knight of Merit – allows constant support to be provided to Fra’ Antonino Clemenza , director of the canteen and the other operators.
This activity is part of the common journey on the steps of spiritual formation and charity undertaken over a year ago between the Pontifical International Marian Academy (PAMI) and the Delegation of Rome and Vatican City of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George.
