The Constantinian Order’s Eastern Sicily Delegation Participates in Messina at the 3rd Marian Colloquium “The ‘Yes’ of Mary: The Beginning of the History of Salvation”

On Monday, 20 April 2026 at 5:00 p.m., in the prestigious Aula Magna of the Università degli Studi di Messina, a representation of the Eastern Sicily Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George took part—at the invitation of the Presidency of the Association of the Faithful “Amici di Lourdes” of Messina—in the 3rd Marian Colloquium entitled “The ‘Yes’ of Mary: The Beginning of the History of Salvation.”

The proceedings were opened by Prof. Rossella Musolino, President of the “Amici di Lourdes” Association. The session was moderated by Prof. Marianna Gensabella, former full professor of Bioethics at the University of Messina. Musical accompaniment was provided by the Corale San Nicola di Ganzirri, conducted by Maestro Mario Casablanca.

Father Nicola Ventriglia, O.M.I., Chaplain at Lourdes—widely known for leading the live broadcast of the Holy Rosary from the Grotto of the Apparitions of Massabielle on TV2000—delivered a lecture on the theme “Hail Mary, Full of Grace.”

This was followed by contributions from Father Giuseppe Di Stefano, Ecclesiastical Assistant of the “Amici di Lourdes” Association and parish priest of Madonna delle Lacrime, and Dr. Giovanni Picone, Knight of Merit with Silver Star.

The conclusions were presented by Cesare Di Pietro, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Messina-Lipari-Santa Lucia del Mela.

The presence of Knights and Dames of the Constantinian Order represented not only an act of Marian devotion, but also a moment of profound spiritual and cultural communion.

The representation of the Eastern Sicily Delegation was led, on behalf of the Delegate Nob. Avv. Ferdinando Testoni Blasco, by the Secretary General, Dr. Michele Lauro, Knight of Merit with Silver Star, accompanied by Avv. Francesco Russo, Knight of Merit with Silver Star; Dr. Giuseppe Cacciola, Knight of Merit; and Prof. Donatella Romeo, Dame of Merit.

Among the members of the Corale San Nicola di Ganzirri was also the Provincial Representative for Messina of the Delegation, Dr. Giuseppe Tortorici, Knight of Merit with Silver Star.

Also present were Prof. Rossella Musolino, President of the Association, together with her husband Prof. Vincenzo Savica, Knight of Merit with Silver Star, and Dr. Giovanni Picone, who delivered one of the scheduled addresses.

In her remarks, Prof. Musolino expressed gratitude for the presence of Nob. Prof. Carmelo Romeo Vagliasindi, Knight of Honour and Devotion and Vice Delegate for Messina of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, as well as Dr. Michele Lauro, Secretary General of the Eastern Sicily Delegation of the Constantinian Order, of which she herself is a member as a Dame of Merit.

Father Nicola Ventriglia, O.M.I., stands as a prominent figure in the Italian ecclesial landscape, especially noted for his many years of service at Lourdes, where he has contributed significantly to the spiritual life of pilgrims from around the world.
