The Delegation of Lombardy of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George has announced that the next monthly meeting in Milan on Thursday 13 June 2024 will take place – instead of in the Church of San Sepolcro – in the Basilica of Sant’Alessandro in Zebedia, which is located in the square of the same name (behind Piazza Missori), hosted by the Barnabite Fathers. On this occasion, a work relating to the commemoration of Duke Diego de Vargas Machuca will be presented. This will be a particularly solemn meeting, in which representatives of other Delegations will also participate.
The Holy Mass will be celebrated at 6.45 pm by the Chief Chaplain for Northern Italy of the Constantinian Order’s Royal Commission for Italy, Father Fabio Fantoni, Chaplain Grand Cross of Jure Sanguinis.
The meeting will begin with a welcome from Father Luca Camisana, Parish Priest of the Pastoral Community of the Holy Magi, which includes the Basilica of Sant’Alessandro in Zebedia, and at the end of the Eucharistic Celebration the artist and sculptor Luca Di Francesco, Knight of Merit with Silver Star, Director of Communications for the Delegation, will present a work of particular importance on which he has been working meticulously for a long time, relating to the commemoration of the late Duke Diego de Vargas Machuca, former President of the Constantinian Order’s Royal Commissions for Italy and for the Republic of San Marino, who gave his beautiful soul to the Lord on Thursday 25 May 2023. On the occasion of the first anniversary of his death, the Delegations are celebrating Holy Masses for the repose of his soul.
