The Constantinian Order’s Lombardy Delegation to hold a conference in Milan on “At the dawn of Europeanism: the Ventotene Manifesto (1943) and the Camaldoli Code (1944)”

On Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 6:45 p.m., the Lombardy Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George will celebrate its monthly Mass in the church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro in via Torino in Milan, presided over by a Chaplain of the Delegation. Afterwards, Prof. Maurizio Ormas, Chaplain of Merit with Silver Star, former professor at the Pontifical Lateran University, will hold a Conference on At the dawn of Europeanism: the Ventotene Manifesto (1943) and the Camaldoli Code (1944), a historical but current theme. The interactions and correlations between the Ventotene Manifesto (original title “For a free and united Europe. Project for a manifesto”) and the Camaldoli Code (original title “For the Christian community. Principles of the social order edited by a group of scholars friends of Camaldoli”) lead us to the sources of European federalism. This is a theme that deserves to be adequately explored.
