After completing the stages of probation, novitiate, and first profession, Sister Sophia Maria della Croce (born Dayanna Mayereth Delgado Càrdenas) made her perpetual profession as a Benedictine Nun of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Monastery of San Pietro in Montefiascone. At the invitation of the Mother Prioress, representatives from the Tuscia and Sabina Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order, led by the Delegate, Nob. Attorney Roberto Saccarello, Knight Grand Cross of Jure Sanguinis with Gold Star, attended the ceremony. Moreover, the monastery maintains very close ties with the Constantinian Delegation, which regularly provides food supplies to the Benedictine Nuns for those experiencing financial hardship. The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by the Bishop of Viterbo, His Excellency the Most Reverend Orazio Francesco Piazza, with as concelebrants priests of the secular clergy and of the Institute of the Incarnate Word, established for several years in Montefiascone.

Solemn profession is the final stage of the initial formation journey for religious life. This formation is a gradual and vital process through which, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and fraternal assistance, one learns to respond with ever greater freedom and completeness to the gift of vocation. Mother Church—in her wise pedagogy, attentive to the rhythms of the human heart and the Spirit—establishes a journey of years, during which the person who responds to the Lord’s invitation is helped to grow in self-knowledge and in knowledge of Him, to experience His faithful love, to discover an ever deeper belonging to Christ and His Church, embracing that particular charism, and to experience the beauty and demands that this life entails.
