On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, a delegation from the Crotone Section of the Calabria Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George donated footwear in various sizes to the Caritas of the Diocese of Crotone–Santa Severina.

The donation was delivered to the Director of the Diocesan Caritas, Father Stefano Cava, Episcopal Vicar for the Clergy, who expressed sincere gratitude and conveyed his deep appreciation for the gesture of generous closeness and attention toward the needs of those assisted by the diocesan Caritas.

Representing the Calabria Delegation on this occasion was the Chaplain of the Crotone Section, Father Giovanni Barbara, Chaplain of Merit.

This charitable initiative takes place within a particularly delicate social context in the territory of Crotone, where many families and individuals living alone face economic hardship and social vulnerability. The Diocesan Caritas serves daily as an important point of reference for many people who turn to its services for concrete help, accompaniment, and human and spiritual support.

The footwear will be distributed in the coming days to those who regularly seek assistance from the diocesan Caritas, in a period marked by increasing economic and social difficulties.

It is a simple yet tangible gesture of solidarity, once again demonstrating the commitment of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George to assisting those most in need, in continuity with its tradition of Christian charity and service to the community.

The footwear delivered by the Crotone Section to the Caritas of the Diocese of Crotone–Santa Severina came from a consignment of shoes previously donated to the Calabria Delegation, with the specific purpose of being distributed to those in need.
