On Monday, 29 December 2025, a representation from the Section of the City of Catanzaro of the Calabria Delegation of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George made a donation of food supplies to the Parish of Saint Pius X, on Via Broussard in Catanzaro, Italy.

As on previous occasions, the distribution to families in difficulty and to those in need—during this particularly challenging period—will be overseen by the parish priest, Fr. Franco Isabello, with the valuable support of the parish community’s faithful and the essential collaboration of the Catanzaro IX Scout Group.

The Fraternity Canteen of the Parish of Saint Pius X has as its motto: “The Lord loves a cheerful giver.”  This same spirit is echoed in the words of Saint Teresa of Calcutta: “It is not how much we do, but how much love we put into doing it. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.”

The Section’s Representative for the City of Catanzaro, Dr. Saverio Salerno, Knight of Merit, stated:

“We wished to support families in difficulty by offering them a concrete sign of closeness and a small measure of relief, so that the beginning of the new year may be lived with greater serenity.”

Under the guidance of Dr. Saverio Salerno, the logistical aspects of delivering the food supplies were coordinated and managed by Dr. Marika Biamonte, Dame of Merit and Inter-Sectional Coordinator; Attorney Dario Gareri and Dr. Carmelo Napolitano, Knights of Merit; with the participation of Dr. Saverio Tripodi, Knight of Merit, and Dr. Juri Rosario Lanza, Knight of Office.

Also present at the delivery of the donation were the leaders of the Catanzaro IX Scout Group, Dr. Carlo Maletta and Valeria Vespertini.

Having been informed of the charitable initiative, the Acting Delegate for Calabria, H.E. the Marquis Don Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, Bailiff Grand Cross of Justice and Lieutenant for Southern Peninsular Italy of the Constantinian Order’s Royal Commission for Italy, expressed his warm appreciation, congratulating the group on the work carried out.
